Glasgow's West End continues to lead demand

Well-presented apartments in the West End remain some of the fastest-moving stock in the city, with strong interest from both first-time buyers priced out of Edinburgh and professionals relocating for work. Homes close to Byres Road, Hyndland and the Botanic Gardens are typically attracting several viewings within the first week of listing.

Buyers are placing a premium on period features — high ceilings, cornicing and original sash windows — provided the kitchen and bathroom have been sympathetically modernised. Where that balance is right, we're routinely seeing offers close to or above Home Report valuation.

What tenants are prioritising this year

Energy efficiency has moved firmly up the list of tenant priorities, with well-insulated flats and homes with modern heating systems letting noticeably faster than comparable properties nearby.
